“On a Friday afternoon, one of our carriers dropped the ball and left us with a shipment that had to be moved from South Africa to Malawi immediately. I called Veritas Logistics to see if they could come through for me, even though I had never asked them to handle this particular route before. Simbarashe went beyond the call of duty, working in the office until 10 pm that night to ensure that we could fulfil our obligations and get that load to the distributor on time. Simbarashe worked a 13-hour day and sacrificed a Friday evening with his family to make sure that we were taken care of; in fact, he even coordinated shipment of another load that needed to go from Mozambique to Zambia that Monday. Simbarashe treated our crisis as if it were his own, he didn’t give up until the job was done, and he provided excellent service and follow up even though he was working off the clock.
